The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
